About 

Dr. Ishita B. Sen, with over 20 years of experience, holds the prestigious position of Director and Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurgaon.  

Her expertise lies in Nuclear Oncology, Radionuclide Therapy, PET Guided Interventional Procedures, and Infection Imaging. Dr. Sen has previously served at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon.  

She is actively involved in research, having authored numerous reviews, clinical communications, and abstracts in Imaging and Oncology. Dr. Sen is also engaged in organizing workshops and seminars in Nuclear Medicine both in India and overseas, and has been a guide for several students in writing their Theses during their Postgraduate Training.  

Professionally, she serves as the President of the Association of Nuclear Medicine Physicians of India, a Member of the International Task Force to prepare Standard Operating Procedures on the  

Use of Clinical Practice, International Energy Agency, Vienna, a DNB Teacher & Assessor in Nuclear Medicine, National Board of Examinations, India, & a Coinvestigator in IAEA Project on Role of Scintimammography using the Newer Technetium Agents in Detection of Breast Cancers. 

Education and Fellowship: 

She has MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College & Associated Hospitals. 

Dr. Sen has also received specialized training in Medical Management of Thyroid Cancer in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre NY, USA 

She recieved training from Thyroid Cancer Preceptorship Program at AIIMS, Delhi & University of Marburg in Germany; & in Myocardial SPECT Imaging for Nuclear Medicine Physicians in Beijing in China.
